With sloping feed fences one feeding place follows the next. Adult animals usually use two out of three feeding places, i.e. every third feeding place is empty.

Hot galvanizing:
Hot galvanizing after completion consists of dipping the parts in a zinc bath at 450°C after chemical preparation (degreasing, derusting with acid, washing, preheating).
At this temperature the mutual compound of iron and zinc with a density of 71 - 90 µ is formed.
The tubes are not hermetically welded, so that the parts are galvanized not only on the outside but also on the inside, thus providing the greatest possible resistance to rust.
For a long durability of parts such as posts, boxes or inner parts of the mangers, which are in constant contact with harmful substances (manure, dung, grass silage and especially corn silage), should be protected with a bituminous paint.
